| Here is our kitty about to eat his lunch. As far as I’ve seen, they have only two large types of lizards, not including the cayman. One of them is the iguana which is mostly found climbing trees and the second one is called a sallapanther, also known as the “Bush Motorbike” since it can run so fast. I haven’t personally seen an Iguana in the wild yet, but you could always go to town or a restaurant and purchase them for food. The sallapather is very common around here. The largest that I’ve seen has been about 2 feet long. I’ve been told that you can also eat these as well but is less common. There isn’t much to say about the smaller lizards except that they are everywhere. The geckoes are pretty neat since you can watch them scale your walls inside you house eating mosquitoes. The downside is the poop they leave hanging behind. |
